In October, I attended a workshop led by Karen Hanmer, a wonderful book artist and a fine teacher. The two days were long and the learning was intense, but the other participants were fun, interesting and kind to a relative newcomer to bookbinding. Notably, this was my first experience of paring leather. While the book I completed is far from perfect, I am pleased with it as a first effort.

Spring break is just around the corner and I have no idea what I am doing with my life. People are already judging me, and I am just so hard on myself. I want to be able to enjoy life and that is what I want to do. I think that this Spring break is going to break me. I feel like I am going to go down a spiral of wrong decision making and it is going to make life hard for me. 4/21/2025 08:48:32 pm
